CIMClock 1.0 ============ CIMClock is just a small utility which allows me to see approximately how much time and money I'm spending on CompuServe. It floats on top all the time, so it's always easily accessible. When you connect to an extended service, just click on the Connect button and the timer starts. Installation ============ Just copy all the files to the WinCIM directory; that's probably the best place to put them. You can create your own directory, however, and place the files in there. How to Use CIMClock =================== When you first start CIMClock, you will notice that the Window's caption contains the current date. That date will always indicate the day you started adding your time and dollars. The three buttons are, from left to right: Connect / Disconnect -------------------- When this button is up (the connector is disconnected from the network on the icon), the timer is not working. Click this button once and you will notice that it stays down, and that the icon has also changed to indicate that you are connected. The timer is now working. Click the button again, and it will come back up to its original state. As you enter a forum, click this button to add to your time. When you return to basic services, click it again to stop the timer. Settings -------- Clicking on this button will simply bring up another Window. It is here that you can set the hourly rate for your CompuServe use. So, if you are paying $12.00 an hour, you need only type in 12; if you are paying $22.50, then 22.5 will do. Click on OK to return to CIMClock. Note that if CIMClock is running while you change the rate, it will start using the new rate as soon as you click OK. The reset button will reset your time and money spent to 0, as well as set the Window caption to the current date. Exit ---- The third and final button is the exit button. When you quit CIMClock, the Window's date and the totals accumulated will be saved. To the right of the buttons are the time you have spent so far, as well as approximately how much this time has cost you. That's it! Not too complicated, eh? This program is freeware, so I hope you enjoy it. If you have any problems with it, you can e-mail me at 71033,1617. Even if you DON'T have any problems, you can still just drop me a line and say Hello! I always like to know where my program is being used (would that make it "freewhere"?).
